Sandro contacted me to build the every-day / occasional race wheels for him. Light, strong and price attractive - those were the main requirements for this project.
He had a special wish for:
The set would include the wheels, tires and campagnolo 8-speed (!) cassette. All mounted and prepared for a ride out of the box.
Wheels were built as per wish:
Interesting detail is that the 8-speed Miche cassette is fully compatible with Novatec hub. The only thing I had to change is a locking ring which should be 27mm and not 31mm as it comes originally with cassette.
Wheels were build with high precision. Tension was within 5% range and spokes were worked out so the elbows support the hub properly

- Lacing - 28 spokes, two cross for front and rear wheel
- Nipple colour - gold

- Two cross laced CN-424 Aero spokes front and rear
- Gold aluminum nipples
- Novatec hubs with campagnolo freehub

All in all the set looks very nice. Semi aero rims with gold nipples will be definitely an eye catcher on the road.
Weight of the wheels is in range of 1550g and it's cost effective (330 CHF for shimano option and 360 CHF for campagnolo)
