Black like "Black Cat" wheelset

One of my recent builds for road & gravel. Very interesting set with no fake weight saving by using less spokes. Proper disc build with 28 spoke front and rear, 2-cross lacing, solid rims and hubs and all that within 1550g / set

I won't hide that I like Kinlin rims. The rim brake versions are very nice but discs are simply awesome. Very nice finish, great painting, modern dimensions (19mm inner width), asymmetric, stiff and light. All that in a reasonable price, therefore my number one in terms of aluminum choice.
In this build I used Kinlin XR26-T model.

This build was made for road/gravel purposes, disc brakes with 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear axle.

In order to keep the good weight but also make a safe wheels for disc brakes I used 28 Pillar Wing 20 spokes on front and rear with two cross lacing.
As always, I put lot of effort to nicely bend the J-bend spokes so the elbows lay on the hub's flanges providing support during each wheel rotation. That guarantees long life-cycle of the wheel and trouble free usage.

Hubs - Bitex BX106. Large and quality TPI bearings, same as used in DT Swiss hubs. Good clutch mechanism, quiet and quick. Very good weight overall. The key is to use original hubs. There are some fake versions with lower price but their quality is questionable. The ones which I use are 100% authentic Bitex hubs with "Anti-bite" system which prevents the cassette to bite-in into the free hub.

In total both wheels weight 1550g without rim tape. Stan's tubeless tape was installed for tubeless usage.

Wheels are very interesting and they become part of my standard offer. You can find them in the shop here

@Konstanty - thanks for choosing me to build your wheels. All the best and happy riding!
